Packing essentials
Shower gel, soap, slippers, alarm clock, hairdryer, skidproof socks and solid footwear for walking meditation or if you like to take a hike. Please wear modest clothes during your course (no colorful athleisure, short pants or sleeveless tops).
Community Work
Every course includes an hour a day of community work as part of the mindfulness exercise. The task you chose to execute is practiced in silence to become aware of any preexisting conditioning. It is an extension of your meditative practice while sitting and can be experienced as an intentless doing through us. Everyday routines are very important field for our practice of mindfulness and awareness.
Silence
Benediktushof is a place of silence. As a center for meditation and mindfulness we offer guests a space to find inner peace. This is why most of our courses are taking place in silence.
We ask you to keep silent inside the house and during meals.
If it is necessary to speak please be aware of your surroundings and make sure you are not disturbing anyone else. If we open up for the experience of silence, you may be find joy and healing in it.
